Day 45 – Kitchen Plumbing and Gas Pipes Installed

Friday 20th September 2013

Today the plumbers arrived. Three arrived, they discussed options in a slightly argumentative way and then one left to do another job, leaving the other two to do most of the work. They were very noisy but got the job done. They left a mess, including a cracked bathroom tile, a wobbly paving stone (which was only laid the other day by the builders) and managed to kill some plants. But hey, we now have water and gas in the new kitchen.

Today was the most expensive day so far. And will need to get a decorator to patch up some walls too.

    Hi
I like the look of the external gas supply pipes
Where your main supply joins the meter, you have an external box. Any thoughts as to what we could with an internal meter. Due to gas supply into the house being shut off for safety, would welcome any comments. We aren’t doing an extension, but is on current house.

Probably best to get a gas engineer to come up with a solution.
