Well, it is done. The decorator came and spent about 5 days painting. Then the floor chap came and spent 3 1/2 days laying the Karndean in the new kitchen, front hall, lobby, WC. utility and cupboard under the stairs. We then had a major tidy up.
Left to do: Karndean wood effect flooring in the new living room (the extension). Need to wait longer for the screed to dry out before sealing it. Bookcase to be built in the library / playroom. Blinds on the front window. Curtains for the living room.
Think that is it!

WC painted, new shelf put up.

Dining area in the new kitchen

Tea towel holder next to sink

Coat pegs in the lobby (was the kitchen)

Primer painted on to the existing concrete floor

Latex screed (which is not latex) poured onto floor.

Latex screed across the new kitchen and playroom

How the latex screed looks when it starts to dry out

Latex tide mark with new screed – need to wait another 6 weeks before we can cover that up

Drier latex

Chaos in the living room as everything is piled in.

My own bit of handy work, adding a new bit of skirting board so we can seal the area around the dishwasher

The first Karndean tiles laid on the border

Cupboard under stairs done first

Utility floor

Kitchen and library / playroom tiled

First break dancing on the tiles

Kithcne floor

Front hall

Kitchen / range cooker

Toys added to library / playroom (right side will have the bookcase)

One happy customer

Liviing room back to normal, and old coffee table back in its rightful place

New door handles on utility door (the builder put on some rubbish ones)

Cupboard under the stairs becomes a shoe cupboard ….

Utility still without a washing machine!

Old kitchen units used to make work bench in the garage
